Manchester United failed to reach the Champions League group stage after a 3-1 defeat in the second leg of their qualifier at Paris St Germain lottery

Leah Galton had a goal disallowed controversially and Ella Toone hit the woodwork as United battled to the end but PSG held on lottery
The hosts started strongly and looked like taking the lead after 10 minutes when Tabitha Chawinga, goalscorer in the first leg, rounded Mary Earps but shot tamely and Maya Le Tissier cleared lottery
The opener came eight minutes later lottery
This time Earps did well to deny Chawinga but could do little as Martens pounced on the rebound and curled past the United keeper lottery
United tried to reply quickly with Geyse teeing up Naalsund in the box but the Norwegian could not take the chance and the visitors had a let-off when Martens headed over lottery
Marc Skinner’s side went close before the break when Geyse combined with Toone but the England international failed to make clean contact and pulled her shot wide lottery
United did get themselves back into the game soon after the restart when Geyse again found space and Naalsund was on hand to turn home from in front of goal lottery
Yet it was to prove a shortlived response as PSG quickly went up the other end and regained the lead lottery
Martens again did the damage, grabbing her second from close range following more good work by Chawinga lottery
United searched for a second equaliser but Katarzyna Kiedrzynek saved from Hannah Blundell and Geyse lottery
PSG took a firm grip on the tie just before the hour as winger Baltimore outran Blundell and chipped Earps from a tight angle lottery
Still United fought on and Katie Zelem drew another save from Kiedrzynek from a free-kick lottery
Galton then headed the ball into the net but the effort was ruled out for a soft foul on Kiedrzynek, who required treatment after colliding with the United player lottery
Toone struck the post with a spectacular effort in stoppage time but it was not United’s night lottery

Lewis Hamilton said he was “disappointed” after his shock disqualification from the United States Grand Prix – while Mercedes boss Toto Wolff admitted “we got it wrong lottery
” Hamilton finished the race in second, behind race winner Max Verstappen, but was later disqualified alongside Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc for breaching the rules governing the floor of their cars lottery

It is thought Mercedes won’t be appealing the decision lottery
In a Mercedes press release, Wolff explained how Mercedes fell foul of the rules lottery
“Turning to the race result and the disqualification, set-up choices on a sprint weekend are always a challenge with just one hour of free practice - and even more so at a bumpy circuit like COTA and running a new package,” he said lottery
“In the end, all of that doesn’t matter; others got it right where we got it wrong and there’s no wiggle room in the rules lottery
“We need to take it on the chin, do the learning, and come back stronger next weekend lottery
”Hamilton said: “It is of course disappointing to be disqualified post-race but that doesn’t take away from the progress we’ve made this weekend lottery

”“We are of course naturally very disappointed to lose our podium finish,” he said lottery
“Unfortunately, it is one of the pitfalls of the sprint format where we have a solitary hour of running before parc fermé lottery
“Without running at a race fuel load in FP1, combined with a circuit as bumpy as this and the parts of the track where the drivers have to put the car during the Grand Prix, have contributed to the higher than expected wear levels lottery
“We will go away and learn from this but also take the positives from our experience as a whole lottery
